Job Seeker Privacy Policy – Hire (hire.talent.al)
Effective date: 1 December 2025
The platform Hire (accessible at hire.talent.al and related apps) is operated by talent.al Shpk (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in the Republic of Albania at the QKB under registration number NIPT M46903008T, with registered address Str. Ibrahim Rugova, Sky Tower, 8/1 Floor, Tiranë, Albania.
We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal data when you use Hire as a Job Seeker / Candidate.
1. What personal data do we collect about you?
When you register, create a profile, upload a CV, apply for jobs, or use our services, we may collect:
- Name, email address, phone number, location, date of birth, gender
- CV and cover letter (education, work experience, skills, qualifications, photo if you choose to add one)
- Job preferences (desired role, salary expectations, location, availability, etc.)
- Profile visibility settings and application history
- Any other information you voluntarily provide (e.g., LinkedIn Profile Import, answers to screening questions)
- Technical data: IP address, device information, browser type, logs of your activity on Hire
- Cookies and similar technologies (see our separate Cookie Policy)
We do not require you to provide sensitive data (e.g., religion, political opinions, health, ethnic origin, trade union membership). If you voluntarily include such data in your CV or profile, you explicitly consent to our processing it for the purpose of helping you find a job.
2. Why do we process your data and on what legal basis?

3. Who do we share your data with?
- Employers and recruiters – only when you apply for a job or when you have made your profile searchable (you control visibility in your settings).
- Our trusted service providers (processors) – e.g., cloud hosting (primarily in the EEA), email services, analytics, customer support tools, AI-based matching tools. They act only on our instructions and under strict contracts.
- Payment providers – if you purchase premium services (card details are handled directly by PCI-DSS compliant providers and never stored by us).
- Law enforcement or authorities – when required by Albanian law or a court order.
- In case of merger or sale of the company – your data may be transferred to the new owner.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. International data transfers
Your data is primarily stored in the European Economic Area (EEA). If data is ever transferred outside the EEA (e.g., to a subcontractor in the US), we use:
- EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or
- Other safeguards permitted under Albanian and EU law.
Employers you apply to may also be located outside the EEA. By applying, you agree to your application data being transferred to that employer.
5. How long do we keep your data?
- Active accounts: as long as you keep your account or until you delete it.
- Inactive accounts: we may delete or anonymise data after 36 months of inactivity (you will receive a reminder first).
- Applications sent to employers: kept for the duration needed for the recruitment process and then deleted (the employer may keep their copy according to their own policy).
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict or object to processing
- Receive your data in a portable format (data portability)
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Opt out of job alerts and marketing

7. How to control your privacy on Hire
In your account settings you can at any time:
- Make your profile completely private (invisible to employers)
- Delete or hide your CV
- Delete past applications
- Turn off job alerts and marketing emails
- Permanently delete your entire account (this removes all your data from our systems within 30 days)
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption, access controls, regular audits) to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or alteration.
9. Children and minors
Hire is not intended for persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
